July 3rd 2004

If last year was the best this became nearly the worst event that we had, it was blighted with the occasional shower and high winds, the windsock spent almost all day horizontal!

Not many members turned up and can be forgiven considering the weather forecast, however the full size contingent flew their socks off and managed a record breaking 182 movements. I have not been given the number of guests that took advantage of the flying but saw many a member with a smile on his or her face walking down the flight line.

This year there was a new event, the chance to ride in a tank personnel carrier some people were even instructed how to drive and given the opportunity as well.

The free fall parachute team flew twice despite the weather and were fantastic, those of us on the ground gave a long applause upon the last one landing on the spot.

The faithful stayed on to the end with many enjoying the BBQ and much shaking of hands until next year. The Enstone Cup will be awarded to some lucky modeller at Beal Park due to not many models flying at Enstone.

To those of you who attended a big thank you, lets hope next year will make up for this year.
