PLEASE NOTE :Club meetings take place at. St Barnabus Church Hall, Grove Road, Emmer Green on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 8:00 P.M.. Starting May 4th club meetings will be at the flying field.

Sunday 12th June North Berks Scale Day - At the Landmead Farm Site on the A338 between Wantage and Frilford. 10am onwards. Click here for more details
Saturday 19th June Joint RDMAC / Reading Busses Social Club trip to Old Warden for an evenings flying. Click here for details. Coach will leave around lunch time. Bring a pick nick. More details of pick up location and times nearer the day. Places allocated on a first come first served basis, places confirmed on receipt of £15 per head sent to Dave Belcher, 6 Thicket Road, Tilehurst, Reading, Berks, RG30 4TY. 0118 9412792. Ticket price includes coach and entrance fee.
Sunday 20 Jun Field will be closed on Sunday and the following Saturday for Rowing Regattas. Dates not yet confirmed but somewhere around here.

Sat/Sun 7/8 Aug Beale Park Float plane and Boat Show. "B" Cert required to fly at this annual 2 day event but it's worth turning up to watch even if you're not flying.

February 28th, Indoor Fly In

Dave Belcher has organised yet another Indoor Event at Reading Bus Garage, Gt. Knolly's St, Reading. It will be available from 12:30 to 17:00 and all are welcome. If you've not been before see event reports below for some pictures of the last few events. Please park in the public car park on Gt. Knolly's St not in the grounds of Reading Buses. There will be no charge but we may need to limit the numbers so please contact Dave Belcher in advance to let him know you will be coming (Email dave@de5ktop.fsnet.co.uk or phone).

4th April, Float plane Fly In, Beale Park

The Spring Float plane Fly In will be on Sunday April 4th on the usual lake at Beale Park, near Pangbourne from approx. 9am to Dusk. Anyone with a BMFA 'A' Certificate is welcome to fly. All Pilots should purchase a ticket for entry to Beale Park. If you've never been before you can find a map here and there are plenty of pictures of the lake and of the wide variety of planes that turn up in the event reports below. Pilot of the Year Award

This new award will be held over 4 events with best 3 scores to count. Each event will take place at the flying field on Sunday morning 10:30 to 12:00. All events are intended to be straightforward but challenging for the pilot. You should be able to enter with most types of model, no special models will be required and any member may enter. More details at the first event on 18th April.
