any event, anyone wishing to fly must contact Andrew Stretton in
advance. There is ample

Event Reports
ENSTONE 2005
Although the weather was kind ie very
hot etc the gusting wind was across the strip, meaning that take off's
would have been onto the real size live runway, therefore model flying
was restricted until 1830hrs, next year we plan to have a break in the
afternoon of an hour or more to allow allow us to put on a bit of a
demonstration. More on this prior to next years event.
Even though the wind was gusting plus
20 kts, more than 225 people enjoyed flights around the country side, an
all time record, and we were treated to parachute drop's, 2 military
tank rides, face painting, and bus driving experiences for the ladies,
and quad bike for those who dare.
Some people stayed over night both
before the event and after so they must have enjoyed it.
When we eventually got our models in
the air we were treated to a few unseen models at least by me and Bob
Roper flew his jet turbine model off the main runway, very entertaining,
we reflected at the time that he had sown up the Enstone Cup for the
third time and so get around to keeping it.
As it turned out that was not to be for
Steve thought that Keith Lock's (Jock's) Thunderbolt just pipped
Bob to the post by its realistic presence and scale like flying speed in
the air, well done Keith.
