Forthcoming Events for 2009
PLEASE NOTE :Club meetings take place at. St Barnabas Church Hall, Grove Road, Emmer Green on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 8:00 P.M.. Starting May 5th club meetings will be at the flying field. Please note as agreed at the AGM summer flying field meetings will now take place on a Wednesday evening, weekly, with priority to pilots training for A cert.

Cholsey Model Mania - Sunday 26th July at Cholsey Primary School. Club members are invited to attend. 'B' cert fliers only for the flying display. If you haven't flown at this event before be aware that the field just meets the BMFA guidelines for display sites. It is not suitable for very fast models or those requiring a long shallow approach (unless you enjoy scaring yourself and climbing trees!). As an incentive to attend, flying will be suspended for a few minute to allow the flypast of two full size aircraft. The first is a Hawker Hurricane based locally at South Moreton the second is based at RAF Waddington and is an Avro Lancaster!

Vic Smeed model aircraft fly in. Sunday 21st June at Ryeish Green School Playing Fields, Ryeish Green, Reading. 10am Start
The fly in will includ off the peg flying. A 'Tom boy' event, some fun competitions and Concours d'elegance. Eligible models must be designed originally by Vic Smeed. they can be to the original size or enlarged or reduced. Radio assist is required at a minimum. Wind conditions are unlikely to permit free flight models from this site.
BMFA 'A' cert is required plus proof of insurance. Entry fee £3.00. -
Indoor flying at the Madejski Dome 14:00 - 17:00 (except Feb 14th which is at the later time of 15:00 - 18:00 to allow the London Irish game spectators to clear)
The format will be low key off the peg flying of indoor, shocky and Park flyers with a power limit of 150W.

Bob's Beale Park Float Plane Fly in - Flying will be £10 per pilot on the day. Proof of BMFA insurance required to fly. Set up from 8am, flying from 10am. Contact Bob Roper on 01491 671232 or 07879 625862 for more details.
